To assist Lebanon in the preparation and submission of its First Biennial Transparency Report and a combined Second Biennial Transparency and 5th National Communication Report for the fulfillment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA)

The project is aimed to strengthen the capacities to comply with the Enhanced Transparency Framework for action and support, established by Article 13 of the Paris Agreement, in line with the adopted Modalities, Procedures and Guidelines.

Developing countries have enhanced capacity, knowledge and awareness on forest-related data collection, analysis and dissemination to meet the enhanced transparency requirements of the Paris Agreement.

Enabling Activity Objective: To assist Armenia in the preparation and submission of its First Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1) and a combined Fifth National Communication and Second Biennial Transparency Report (NC5/BTR2) for the fulfillment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA).

To assist the Government of Tunisia in the preparation and submission of its First Biennial Transparency Report and a combined Second Biennial Transparency and Fifth National Communication Report (BTR1 – NC5/BTR2) for the fulfillment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA)

To assist Cuba in the preparation and submission of its First Biennial Transparency Report (1BTR), and a combined Fourth National Communication and a Second Biennial Transparency Report (2BTR&4NC) for the fulfillment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA).

To assist Honduras in the preparation and submission of its First Biennial Transparency Report (1BTR) and a combined 4th National Communication Report and Second Biennial Transparency (4NC/2BTR) for the fulfillment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA).

This project is prepared in line with the Pillar II (Foster enabling conditions to mainstream mitigation concerns into sustainable development strategies) and objective 2.1 (Support capacity-building needs for transparency under the Paris Agreement through the CBIT) of GEF-8 Climate Change Focal Area Strategy and Associated Programming . To assist Botswana in the preparation and submission of the Fourth National Communication and the First Transparency Report (4NC/1BTR) as a combined report and tge Second Biennial Transparency Report (2BTR) for the fulfilment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA).

Support to the Bolivarian Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the elaboration of the Combined Third National Communication (NC3) and the First Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1) for the implementation of obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement.
