The project aims to support Belize to prepare and submit its First Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1) and its Second Biennial Transparency Report, combined with its Fifth National Communication (BTR2/NC5) that comply with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement reporting requirements, while responding to its national development goals.

Strengthening national institutional and technical capacities of the Republic of Türkiye to establish the necessary arrangements to implement the ETF, for tracking the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) targets and supporting the development of low greenhouse gas emission development strategies (LT-LEDS)

To assist Uruguay in the preparation and submission of its First and Second Biennial Transparency Report (1BTR+2BTR) for the fulfillment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA)

To assist the Government of Sri Lanka to prepare and submit its First Biennial Transparency Report (BTR1), the Second Biennial Transparency Report and Fourth National Communication (BTR2/NC4) to fulfil the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Promote climate change adaptation in the agricultural sectors (forestry, crop, and livestock production) through nature-based solutions, integrated land use planning, and climate services to deliver food security and sustainable livelihoods for 220,000 vulnerable people in areas prone to climate-related impacts.

To establish a Regional Facility to support biodiversity conservation and restoration in at least 3 LAC countries by: (i) enabling long-term financing for conservation, restoration, and sustainable management without increasing the debt ceiling; (ii) introducing very powerful incentives to timely achieve conservation commitments; and (iii) strengthening national institutional frameworks to support natural resources management.

Scope 3 emissions, or the indirect greenhouse gas emissions that occur across an entire value chain, from raw material extraction to distribution, are among the most extensive and challenging to mitigate. Significantly reducing these emissions is critical to achieving sustainability goals but to date there have been no compelling solutions capable of aggregating sustainability improvements across a diverse and fragmented supply chain.

The overarching goal of the project is to protect the Amazon rainforest by strengthening Amazon socio-biodiversity organizations, businesses, and supply chains, promoting a development model in the Brazilian Protected Areas System in the Amazon that empowers conservation stewards (ILPCs) by combining conservation with income generation. The estimated improvement of the effectiveness of protected areas (Resex, RDS, and APAs – IUCN categories IV and VI) reaches 1.7M hectares and provides global environmental benefits.

To implement SLM practices and land rehabilitation, restoration, and protection interventions to combat land degradation, enhance biodiversity, ecosystems, water source areas, climate resilience and strengthen communities, farmers and livelihoods to support South Africa to achieve its LDN targets.
