GEF-6 IAP Programs: Synthesis of Experiences and Emerging Lessons from Establishing and Operationalizing Governance Framework

To ensure that each of the Integrated Approach Pilot (IAP) programs achieve coherence and consistency, an overall governance framework is required to support their implementation, including alignment and coordination with diverse stakeholders and initiatives. A dedicated coordination project serves as basis for anchoring the governance framework for each program.

Learning from Good Practices: Private Sector Engagement and Multi-stakeholder Dialogues

This virtual webinar introduced two projects supported by the GEF, which initiated effective private sector engagement and multi-stakeholder dialogues to advance at scale development of policy frameworks to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, enhancement of capacity and technologies of GHG emissions, reduction of pollution from e-waste such as mercury and persistent organic pollutants (POPs), and establishment of a sustainable e-waste management system.

GEF Independent Food Systems Summit Dialogue

The Global Environment Facility organized a virtual Independent Food Systems Summit Dialogue to discuss and reflect on our integrated approach programs addressing food systems transformation. The Dialogue convened key stakeholders from governments, private sector, financial institutions, and civil society organizations engaged with the following GEF programs: Fostering Sustainability and Resilience for Food Security in the drylands of sub-Saharan Africa; Taking deforestation out of Commodity Supply Chains; Coastal Fisheries Initiative; and Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration.
