The W-Arly-Pendjari (WAP) complex is the largest and most important continuum of terrestrial, semi-aquatic and aquatic ecosystems in the West African savannah belt, which encompass an area of 3094026 ha. The project goal is the long-term conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity within the W, Arly, and Pendjari (WAP) Parks Complex of Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger. The project objective is that prospects for long-term biodiversity conservation of the WAP Complex have been substantially enhanced according to significant and measurable improvements in key indicators of PA system sustainability.
