The long-term goal of this project therefore is to ensure sustainable management of the land resources of St. Lucia in order to enhance ecosystem health, integrity, stability, functions and services while contributing directly to the environmental, economic and social well-being of the people of Saint Lucia. The specific objective is to strengthen capacity for sustainable land management at the individual and institutional level and to mainstream SLM concepts into national development strategies and policies.

SFM Mitigating Climate Change through Sustainable Forest Management and Capacity Building in the Southern States of Mexico (States of Campeche, Chiapas and Oaxaca)
To mitigate climate change in the agricultural units selected in three Southern States (Campeche, Chiapas and Oaxaca), strengthening the SFM and creating local capacities, including the reduction of emissions by deforestation and the increase of carbon sequestration potential through the financing of innovative and relevant initiatives for the most vulnerable population, particularly the indigenous peoples, the dissemination of information and local participation in carbon sequestration monitoring.
SFM Sustainable Land Management of the Upper Watersheds of South Western Haiti
The Project Objective is to address and contain the rapid environmental degradation in the upper watershed of the Southern part of Haiti through the integration of sustainable land and forest management practices at the watershed level. In Addition, the project seeks to support forest restoration and implementation of a carbon stock and sequestration monitoring system to enhance the understanding of impacts by changes in land use systems and vegetation/forest cover on carbon sequestration and emissions avoided.
