National Capacity Self-Assessment (NCSA) for Global Environmental Management
The general objective of this project is to assess the national capacities to manage the global environment in the CAR. The project will determine the gaps in, constraints to and priorities for the creation, development and reinforcement of individual, institutional and systemic capacities to better manage environmental resources in order to preserve them while using them sustainably to support the national development effort and the fight against poverty.
Development of National Implementation Plans for the Management of Persistent Organic Pollutants - Mali "add-on"
Mali is one the 12 pilot countries participating in the pilot project "Development of National Implementation Plans for the Management of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)". The project was part of the work program approved by the May 2001 Council meeting. That same meeting also approved the Guidelines for POPs enabling activities. This proposal is for an add-on that would allow Mali to complete the work needed to finalise its NIP. This add-on requested by Mali was envisaged at time of WP approval and CEO endorsement.

Small Grants Programme (Third Operational Phase), Tranche 2
The GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) was approved by the GEF Council in November 2004 for a one-year replenishment of US$ 47 million. The SGP is now submitting an annual request for the next year to cover the costs of programme activities aimed at meeting the Outcomes found in the approved three year proposal. The proposal presented here comprises a request for the second annual replenishment.
Country Support Program for GEF Focal Points
The primary purpose of the Country Support Program (CSP) for Focal Points is to respond to the requests and needs of GEF recipient countries for tools to assist them to respond to their obligations as GEF recipient countries as well as obligations contained within the global conventions (biodiversity, climate change and POPs) for which the GEF is the financial mechanism, as well as the convention on desertification for which the GEF is a financial mechanism.

The objective of the project is to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the energy use of private and public buildings in Bulgaria (including the premises of the local SMEs) by improving the efficiency of their energy use.
