Project Development Objective (PDO) is to support the mainstreaming of a multi-stakeholder, integrated management approach to the conservation and sustainable use of freshwater biodiversity (GIBRAH) in public policies and programs in the Brazilian Amazon River Basin. This would in part be achieved through the generation and dissemination of sub-regional experiences that promote and facilitate the implementation of GIBRAH in the whole Amazon Basin.

Energy Sector Reform Project
The overall objective of the Energy Sector Reform and Development Project is to help the Government enhance the efficiency of the energy sector, increase access of rural areas to modern sources of energy, and improve the management of natural forest resources. The project seeks to foster private sector development and competition in the energy sector, and empower local communities. Within this context, the global environmental objective of the project is to reduce national carbon emissions by creating an enabling framework for energy conservation and renewable energy.
Rural Electrification and Transmission
The overall project objectives are to: Eliminate the policy, institutional, financing and information barriers that impede the market development for renewable energy in Cambodia so that rural people can have increased access to electricity services; and accelerate rural transformation by expanding electricity access by offering: (i) technical assistance and capacity building for key stakeholders, and (ii) investments in renewable energy systems for isolated mini-grids using hydro sources and in off-grid solar and village hydro.
Southwest Indian Ocean Fisheries Project - SWIOFP
The proposed project is one of several projects that will be linked among IAs to address fisheries issues of the two LMEs in the SW Indian Ocean (Somali Current and Agulhus Current). This proposal is from the World Bank with an objective of developing and then implementing a management strategy that links biodi protection of fish species to sustainable use of the fisheries. Distant water fishing fleets are likely depleting the WIO within the 200 mile EEZ of some of the countries. However, the status of the fisheries is virtually unknown.
Enabling Activities for the Preparation of Initial National Communication Related to the UNFCCC
The main objective of this proposal is to enable the country to fulfil its commitments and obligations as required by Articles 4.1 and 12.1 of the UNFCCC, especially the preparation and the reporting of its initial national communication as required by Article 12.1 (a), (b) and (c) of the Convention based on the recommended COP2 guidelines and format for non-Annex 1 Parties.
Barrier Removal for Efficient Lighting Products and Systems
