The objective of this project is to prevent the loss of tropical primary forests worldwide by strengthening their protection and conservation, which will in turn contribute to mitigating climate change, preventing biodiversity loss and land degradation, while improving the livelihoods of the communities that depend upon them.

Problem and issues to be addressed:

The objective of this project is to assist the Government of Guatemala in the preparation and submission of its First Biennial Transparency Report and a combined Fourth National Communication Report and Second Biennial Transparency for the fulfillment of the obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (PA).

To promote conservation, restoration, and sustainable management and use of the Algerian Aleppo pine forest in northern Algeria through integrated inclusive nature-based solutions to climate change.
