The general objective is to promote and support catalytic investments for geothermal power in Colombia through the strengthening of its regulatory framework and the development and implementation of a demonstrative geothermal project in the Macizo Volcanico del Ruiz which will contribute to reduce and displace unrealized Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

The main objective of the Project is to reduce greenhouse gases emissions through the transformation of the market for lighting to an energy efficient one and progressive phasing-out of incandescent lamps (ILs) in the residential, municipal, institutional, and tertiary sectors in Morocco by:
(i) restricting the supply of energy inefficient lighting products through policy and legal measures ; and
(ii) promoting the demand for energy efficient lighting products at all levels.

To develop institutional capacities to manage climate change impacts through improved climate information, technical capacity, the establishment of demonstration projects to reduce vulnerability in key vulnerable areas, and learning.
