The objective of the project is that biodiversity and habitat are conserved in the globally significant highland forest corridor of Anjozorobe, Madagascar. This will be achieved by promoting a model of sustainable community-based management within the context of a Regional Forest Reserve (RFR).

Within the overall objective of the Stockholm Convention, which is to protect human health and the environment from POPs, the project will: i. Prepare the ground for ratification and implementation of the Convention in Kiribati; ii. Assist Kiribati in meeting its reporting and other obligations under the Convention; iii. Strengthen Kiribati’s national capacity to manage POPs and chemicals generally.

Within the overall objective of the Stockholm Convention, which is to protect human health and the environment from POPs, the project will: i. Prepare the groundwork for ratification and implementation of the Convention in Tonga; ii .Assist Tonga in meeting its reporting and other obligations under the Convention; and iii. Strengthen Tonga’s national capacity to manage POPs and chemicals generally.

The main objective of this project is to assess national capacities for global environmental management in Togo. This national self-assessment will determine the gaps, constraints and priorities for the creation, development and reinforcement of individual, institutional and systemic capacities required to better manage environmental resources so that they are used sustainably in order to support national efforts in the areas of sustainable development and the fight against poverty.

The primary objective of the NCSA project is to provide Haïti with the opportunity to thoroughly examine the needs and priorities for capacity building in order to address global environmental issues (in particular biological diversity, climate change, and land degradation/desertification), with the aim of catalyzing domestic and/or externally assisted action to meet the needs in a coordinated and planned manner.

Within the overall objective of the Stockholm Convention, which is to protect human health and the environment from POPs, the project will: i. Prepare the ground for implementation of the Convention in the Sultanate of Oman; ii. Assist the Sultanate of Oman in meeting its reporting and other obligations under the Convention; and iii. Strengthen Oman’s national capacity to manage POPs and chemicals generally.

Within the overall objective of the Stockholm Convention, which is to protect human health and the environment from POPs, the project will: i. Prepare the groundwork for ratification and implementation of the Convention in Vanuatu; ii. Assist Vanuatu in meeting its reporting and other obligations under the Convention; and iii. Strengthen Vanuatu’s national capacity to manage POPs and chemicals generally.
