The aim of the project is to develop and promote a market environment for introducing energy efficiencies and enhanced use of RE technologies in process applications in 12 selected energy-intensive MSME clusters in India with expansion to more clusters later, in order to improve the productivity and competitiveness of units as well as to reduce overall carbon emissions and improve the local environment. The project will work at cluster levels as well as policy level to achieve its aim.

The combined development objective/global objective of the proposed West Africa Regional Fisheries Program is to sustainably increase the overall wealth generated by the exploitation of the marine fisheries resources of West Africa, and the proportion of that wealth captured by West African countries. The combined development objective/global objective of the proposed APL 1 project would be to strengthen the capacity of Cape Verde, Liberia, Senegal and Sierra Leone to govern and manage targeted fisheries, reduce illegal fishing and increase local value added to fish products.

The project will strengthen communication and public awareness capacity on biosafety in Latin America in general and in Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica and Peru in specific. The objective will be achieved through piloting communication and public awareness strategies and sharing the results widely across the region. These activities will culminate in a regional conference to take stock of biosafety management systems in the region.

To reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of Turkey by accelerating the market transformation towards more energy efficient building appliances

The goal of the SLM/North pilot sub programme is to contribute to the fight against desertification through unleashing a process of integrated natural resource management involving the empowerment of all stakeholders to combat desertification and its negative effects. The expected results are the development of a stimulating technical, organizational institutional, political and legislative environment for the rehabilitation and preservation of degraded lands.
