The primary objective is the direct phase out 600 ODP tonnes of HCFCs in the foam and refrigeration manufacturing sectors in the Russian Federation to meet the 2015 Montreal Protocol target. The GHG emissions reduction resulting from the phase out of HCFCs will be approximately 15.6 MMT CO2.

To create capacity for Environmentally Sound Management (ESM) of PCBs, eliminate PCB releases from the electrical equipment, avoid cross-contamination of electrical equipment and dispose of a minimum of 1,000 tons of PCB wastes.sure

To comply with the Stockholm Convention (SC), through implementing the PCB-related action plans of the NIP including the necessary regulations and standards, strengthening of institutions at the national and local levels, enforcement, capacity building, and awareness raising among the stakeholders in order to manage PCB wastes in an environmentally sound manner.

To improve the conservation of marine and coastal biodiversity in Ecuador through the promotion of a network of representative and well managed marine and coastal protected areas and targeted actions for the protection of key threatened marine species.

Contribute to improving ecosystem management and sustainable forestry in the project areas of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic. Global Environmental Objectives:
