Protect human health and the environment from unintentional releases of POPs originating from incineration and open burning of health care- and electronic waste

The general objective of the project is to develop new guidance document, update existing guidance documents, validate them, and make them available for assisting countries in the preparation and updating their NIPs under the Stockholm Convention, considering the new obligation parties have to comply with after the listing of 9 new POPs.

To assist GEF-eligible Parties to prepare for ratification and the early entry into force of the Protocol through targeted awareness raising and capacity building.
