Alignment of National Action Programs with the UNCCD 10-Year Strategy and reporting process, as per obligations to the UNCCD

Jordan has prepared its National Strategy and Action Plan on Desertification( NAP) in 2006 . Since then, there has been new threats to ecosystems , new issues have arisen and priorities have changed. New and updated approaches need to be addressed . The COP also adopted theUNCCD 10 year strategy . Also, COP Decisions require reporting under the UNCCD .
In light of these local and global developments and requirements, the NAP needs to be updated.

Revising the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan , preparing the 5th National report for CBD and undertaking CHM activities

Jordan has prepared its National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan ( NBSAP) in 2003 . Since then, there has been new threats to biodiversity , new issues have arisen and priorities have changed. New and updated approaches need to be addressed . The COP also adopted the 10 year strategy ( 2008-2018) ,including the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation. In light of these local and global developments, the NBSAP need to be updated.
