Reduce the dependency on fossil fuels by promoting the implementation of Energy Efficiency (EE) measures and Renewable Energy (RE) projects and solutions, including geothermal energy projects, as a way to reduce fossil fuel consumption and costs. Overall, the SEF Program aims to help increase the competitiveness of participant countries of the OECS. As a consequence, the SEF Program will also lead to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

To assisst Islamic Republic of Iran with the Fifth UNCCD Reporting and Review process and also aligning its NAP with the UNCCD 10-years Strategy

The project will build capacity in Sri Lanka to introduce and implement an environmentally- sound management of PCB wastes stockpiles and PCB-containing equipment.

To significantly reduce the rate of electricity consumption and water usage in Seychelles among underserved communities in the residential sector

To stimulate the use of small hydropower to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions and trigger productive use for income generation, in alignment with strategic and policy priorities of the Government of Madagascar

To strengthen climate observing infrastructure and increase capacity to utilize climate and environmental information for responding to climate hazards and planning adaptation to climate change

To promote sustained GHG emissions reduction in the Myanmar industry by improving policy and regulatory frameworks and institutional capacity building for industrial EE and the implementation of energy management systems, based on ISO 50001, EnMS and optimization of energy systems in industry.
