Northern Belize Biological Corridors Project
The project aims to secure long-term conservation of biodiversity of global importance in the “Maya Lowlands” of north-eastern Central America by maintaining ecological linkages between protected areas across northern Belize, from northern Belize to the Maya Mountain/Mountain Pine Ridge massif in central Belize, and from northern Belize into the Maya and Calakmul Biosphere Reserves in Guatemala and Mexico respectively. The corridors so created constitute a critical link in the Mescoamerican Biological Corridor (MBC) system.
Kopacki Rit Wetlands Management Project
Under the GEF alternative, an expanded program would be implemented focusing on alternatives that generate global benefits. These include the preparation and implementation of a protection and management plan for the Reserve, a monitoring program, rehabilitation of infrastructure, procurement of equipment and training to enable the newly established Management Authority to protect and sustainable manage the reserve.

Kibale Forest Wild Coffee Project
This project will assist Uganda’s implementation of its national biodiversity strategy and action plan by helping maintain biodiversity in the landscape mosaics beyond the boundaries of protected areas of global importance. It will do so by regulating uncontrolled coffee harvesting, confining it to buffer zones and ensuring that all activities in these areas reflect best practices for sustainable management of tropical humid forest ecosystems.
