The objectives of the project are to develop and implement a PCB management plan, and to enhance the capacity of Morocco to manage and dispose of PCB oils and PCB containing equipment in a sustainable manner once they are deemed waste.

Removal of barriers to widespread application of EE building materials (mainly bricks) and EE building technologies and measures in rural buildings in China.

The overall objective of the PDF-B is to prepare a full-scale project (FSP) document, to enable China prepare its Second National Communication (SNC) to the UN Framework Convcention on Climate Change as per Article 12.

This project (PACC ) will implement long-term adaptation measures to increase the resilience of a number of key development sectors in the Pacific islands to the impacts of climate change. This objective will be achieved by focusing on adaptation response strategies, policies and measures to bring about this result. The key development sectors this project will focus on are: 1. water resources management; 2. food production and food security; and 3. coastal zone and associated infrastructure (roads and breakwater).

To increase the resilience and reduce vulnerability of local, critical economic infrastructure in the northern mountains areas of Vietnam to the adverse impacts of climate change and to support a policy framework conducive to promoting resilient northern mountains zone development.

The proposed project will provide assistance to Vietnam to eliminate POPs pesticides stockpiles, and carry out pilot treatment of sites that are contaminated with POPs pesticides.

The objective of the project is to overcome the current barriers, which impede implementation of the PCB-related obligations of the Stockholm Convention in Uruguay. The MSP foresees the strengthening of an environmentally sound management (ESM) system of PCBs based on a consensus between relevant government authorities, the private and public sectors and NGOs. Special emphasis will be given to partnering with owners of PCB for phasing out PCB equipment. The project will create a sound environment for all PCB-related activities.

The project aims to establish the necessary implementation structure for the three Conventions. This includes a National Convention Coordinating Authority and its Secretariat.

The objective of the project is to strengthen the enabling environment for the implementation of the Strategic Action Program (SAP) to promote sustainable development in São Francisco basin and its coastal zone.

Globally significant agro-biodiversity conservation and adaptation to climate change are embedded in the national and local agricultural and rural development policies and practices of Tajikistan.
