Sustainable Production of BD goods and services through community ecosystem based enterprises

To promote the conservation and sustainable use of coastal and marine biodiversity in the Caribbean and Pacific regions through the design and implementation of a financially sustainable and well-managed National Subsystem of Marine Protected Areas - SMPA.

To improve the capacity to manage the transport sector in the Lagos and Kano metropolitan areas and to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the public transport network in Lagos. The project will result in GHG emissions avoidance through a shift to more environmentally sustainable urban transport modes.

The project objective is to reduce GHG emissions to achieve global environmental benefits through implementation of thermal and energy efficient building codes for new construction in Syria. The project intends to transform construction practice in Syria through introducing energy efficiency design, material and equipment in new buildings. The project also comprises a provision to adapt new construction to changing climate, relying on synergies between climate change adaptation and mitigation measures.

A field-tested financial and operational framework is institutionalized for an expanded Ecuadorian National System of Protected Areas (SNAP)

To increase protection of vulnerable natural areas and conserve biological diversity through the establishment, strengthening and operational startup of protected areas, strengthening of the SIFAP and provincial and private- sector conservation capacities, as well as through interventions to initiate model corridors in the Argentine Chaco and Patagonian Steppe and Coastal-Marine ecosystems.

Promote the conservation of agro-biodiversity and sustainable land and water management to restore the productive
capacity and sustainability of Andean Vertical Ecosystems (EVA) containing habitats of native plants and endangered species and
sustaining the food security of the Ayllus (indigenous Andean territorial organizations) population, through their traditional socio-political
structures.

To improve the energy efficiency of end-use equipment, namely building appliances and lighting systems manufactured, marketed and used in Egypt

To (a) demonstrate improved sustainable land and water management practices aimed at reducing land degradation and enhancing maintenance of biodiversity in selected micro-watersheds, and (b) strengthen spatial planning for identification of linked watershed investments in the Northern Savanna region of Ghana.

Contribute to the conservation of Liberia’s globally significant biodiversity providing better representation of ecosystems within Liberia’s current protected area network and enabling active conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity with local communities.
