The principal objective of the proposed micro-turbine co-generation MCT application project is the reduction of the long-term cost of MCT within the Indonesian market. The successful implementation of this proposed project will increase awareness of the potential MCT users and the government, and will likely assist in reducing MCT cost and removing the barriers to a functioning MCT market.

The goal of the project is to accelerate global commercialization and sustainable market transformation of solar water heating, thereby reducing the current use of electricity and fossil fuels for hot water preparation in residential, private service sector and public buildings and, when applicable, industrial applications.

To reduce energy consumption and associated GHG emissions in buildings in Turkey by raising building energy performance standards, improving enforcement of building codes, enhancing building energy management and introducing the use of an integrated building design approach

The development objective is to improve income and living conditions of rural households, enable income earning activities, and contribute to micro and small enterprise development by removing financial barriers for the target group to provide access to modern energy services.

The development objectives of the proposed project are to attain major energy efficiency improvements and long-term financial sustainability in Mongolia’s DH sector by assisting in the implementation of market-oriented and socially sustainable regulatory and institutional reforms and by supporting technology transfer, capacity building and crucial investments in heating system modernization.

The objective of the project is to improve energy efficiency of selected coal-fired power generation units through renovation and modernization (R&M) and improved operations and maintenance (O&M), and a significant co-benefit of the project is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions per kilowatt hour of electricity generated.

The project development objectives are to; (a) increase rural electricity access, (b) improve the efficiency and performance of rural electric supply systems, and (c) promote the use of renewable energy resources.

This proposal is a request for additional GEF resources to roll out a second phase of the global CEPF program. This is critical to consolidate the program in existing hotspots, further strengthen local civil society capacity to conserve and manage biodiversity, and extend CEPF support to civil society in newly defined areas of critical biodiversity importance.
