The goal of the project is to enable Myanmar to better meet its immediate obligations under the Convention on Biological Diversity, especially in relation to Article 6: General measures for conservation and sustainable use.

To address the impacts of climate change on coastal ecosystems and communities by implementing a set of urgent measures that will strengthen the capacity to predict future changes, while helping local populations to adapt through the adoption of more sustainable production methods, particularly in the areas of water management, agriculture, fisheries and tourism.

•To serve as simplified and direct channels of communication for information relating to the urgent and immediate needs for adaptation in Angola; •To build national capacity of Angolan expertise in the field of vulnerability and adaptation to climate change, thereby ensuring an enabling environment for the implementation of the UNFCCC; and, •To facilitate capacity building for the preparation of national communications, and addressing urgent and immediate adaptation needs.

The goal of the proposed “Ecosystem-based Approach to Living Aquatic Resources Management” Medium Size Project (MSP) is to transform the utilization of Uruguay’s fisheries resources into sustainable production systems through the integration of ecosystem-related principles and concepts into national legal and planning frameworks that in turn, would contribute to a reduction in the loss of biodiversity and an increase in social well-being.
